If the sheriff's target dies, he and the murderer will learn each other's name.
If there are multiple deaths, the sheriff will only learn one of the murderers.

I don't think that the Sheriff needs a buff at all. It's my opinion that most Town Investigative roles in the game are overtuned and need some nerfs (excluding the Tracker and Sheriff). The Sheriff can reliably find three Mafia and sometimes the Neutral Killing but not the Godfather or Neutral Evils. The Tracker can determine killers and evildoers with "loud" notifications but may confuse it with other visitors. Those are examples of balanced Town Investigatives but then there are the other ones. The Investigator locks most evildoers into only one Town claim, which doesn't provide much wiggle room. The Lookout is truly only powerful because it can confirm itself very easily (please add the Osservatore). The Spy confirms all visitors as non-Mafia, can determine who the Neutral Killing/Executioner/Witch are, and confirms Town members alongside a Lookout. The Psychic is just stupid. It can reliably find a non-Town role every other night with 100% accuracy. Additionally, its ability is way too passive for its level of power.
TLDR: Sheriff and Tracker are balanced Town Investigatives. The other four need nerfs/overhauls.
Spy is OP, my suggestion is to make it so it knows what happens to it's bugged target at night (and no seeing mv). I'm debating between this and making it just see the roles that visit. That makes it have the same purpose, but less omniscient.

(1) I like your Spy rework. It allows it so see partial roles, which makes it could at semi-confirming. The "bug" aspect should also be kept.
(2) Agreed. Investigator really only needs a result nerf (preferably two Town claims for each evil).
(3) Mafia Lookout/Tracker hybrid. Prevents confirmability in Lookouts while also countering the Town Protectives by immediately exposing them.
(4) I feel like your Psychic suggestion is very overcomplicated. It would take a lot of coding for just the one role.

TBH, I do not like this Spy idea.
Reason:
A Consigliere or a Consort are 2 roles that can have VERY good claims. If a Spy were to bug the Jailor and then have it say "A Consort visited your target! A Bodyguard visited your target! A Lookout visited your target! An Arsonist visited your target!" it's just a trapper that has no attack and can trap every night. I think it should only say certain things such as:
Someone interrigated your target! (Sheriff, Investigator, Consigliere, Potion Master [revealing])
Someone roleblocked your target! (Escort, Consort, no longer can see if they are immune or not)
Someone protected your target! (Crusader, Bodyguard, Trapper)
Someone prevented your target from harm! (Guardian Angel, Doctor, Potion Master [healing])
Someone poisoned your target! (Poisoner)
Someone attacked your target! (Godfather, Werewolf, Serial Killer, Veteran, Vigilante, Mafioso, Vampire Hunter, Vampire, Ambusher, Crusader, Bodyguard, Trapper, Arsonist, Pestilence; Horseman of the Apocalypse, Juggernaut, Coven Leader, Potion Master [killing], Hex Master, Necromancer's Ghoul [or Necromancer's killing corpse], Medusa, or Poisoner [when they died to poison]
Your target was attacked but something saved them from being killed! (If they are attacked but protected by any Town Protective, Potion Master, Guardian Angel, or if they are a Veteran, Bodyguard, Doctor, or Survivor self "healing", or any role with defense.
Someone cured your target from poison! (Doctor, Potion Master, Guardian Angel, Poisoner)
Someone messed with your target! (Transporter, Coven Leader/Witch, Framer, Hex Master, Arsonist)
etc.
Overall, I just don't see why roles visiting would work for a Spy.
