    Name: Hitman

    Alignment: Neutral (killing)

Game Information/Background: In another Town, far far away and more hostile than the insanity of Salem, there lived an assassin for hire, who enjoyed executing his targets. After a huge failure of his latest mission, he ran into hiding. Yet he had a constant impulse... for murder. He began to hallucinate and vision scenarios where he would attack someone he had known, whether it be a random encounter or a close relationship. Soon, however, his delusions became a reality.

Attack: Powerful (when sniping); Basic (on alert)

Defense: None (when sniping); Basic (on alert)

    Special Unique | Priority 4

Abilities: Snipe your “target”, or go on alert at home.

    Attributes:

    - When sniping, you deal a powerful attack to only your target.

    - When on alert, you shoot anyone with a basic attack, and you gain a basic defense.

    - Fighting the Godfather on two alerts will let you join the Mafia, yet you will lose all of your alerts.

    - Sniping three players of the same faction will give you a Spree ability for one night.

    Mechanics:

    - The Hitman can snipe or alert whenever they feel.

    - If a Town Protective uses their ability on you whilst you are on alert, the ability fails and they are killed (unless they are healed by an external host).

    - If the Godfather chooses to attack you whilst you are on alert twice, you will be promoted to a Mafia member as a Sniper (the only way to retrieve this Mafia role).

    - When promoted to a Mafia member, your investigative results are changed, and your alerts are removed.

    - Sniping three players of the same faction (e.g. 3 Townies) will grant you the ability to use Spree, killing three people in one night (Spree can only be used once).

    - You cannot be blackmailed. If you are blackmailed, the blackmailer will receive the message “Your Target seems to know you more than you know yourself. You let them be, seeing yourselves as equals.”

    -Investigative Results-

Sheriff: Your Target is not suspicious. (w/o Mafia); Your Target is a member of the Mafia! (w/ Mafia)

Investigator: Without Mafia: Your target could be a [use random list]. With Mafia: Your target could be an escort, sniper, serial killer, or crusader.

Consigliere/Witch: Your target is an elite sharpshooter who’s kills are enjoyable. They must be a Hitman.

Goal: (without Mafia:) Follow your instructions to execute everyone and anyone. (with Mafia:) Kill everyone who would oppose to the Mafia.

    Wins With: Nobody.

    Must Kill: Everybody. [too much?]

Anything Else: This role can be considered an inverted Vigilante-Veteran who opposes everything.

Attack: Powerful (when sniping); Basic (on alert) okay

Defense: None (when sniping); Basic (on alert) okay, though any {{Neutral Killing should have a permanent basic defence but lets see

Special Unique | Priority 4 Special unique? What do you mean?

Abilities: Snipe your “target”, or go on alert at home.

      Attributes:

      - When sniping, you deal a powerful attack to only your target. Okay

      - When on alert, you shoot anyone with a basic attack, and you gain a basic defense. Though you won't be able to kill any evil killing role except Mafioso and some Coven.

      - Fighting the Godfather on two alerts will let you join the Mafia, yet you will lose all of your alerts. What, so if you have two alerts to start whit or?

      - Sniping three players of the same faction will give you a Spree ability for one night. mhm'

      Mechanics:

      - The Hitman can snipe or alert whenever they feel. Sooo unlimited alerts? Does that mean the Mafia have to attack you twice?

      - If a Town Protective uses their ability on you whilst you are on alert, the ability fails and they are killed (unless they are healed by an external host). Why should the ability fail?

      - If the Godfather chooses to attack you whilst you are on alert twice, you will be promoted to a Mafia member as a Sniper (the only way to retrieve this Mafia role). So if the Mafioso attacks you this wont happen? You will just kill him? And what does the sniper in the Mafia?

      - When promoted to a Mafia member, your investigative results are changed, and your alerts are removed.

      - Sniping three players of the same faction (e.g. 3 Townies) will grant you the ability to use Spree, killing three people in one night (Spree can only be used once). WOAH too OP

      - You cannot be blackmailed. If you are blackmailed, the blackmailer will receive the message “Your Target seems to know you more than you know yourself. You let them be, seeing yourselves as equals.” Why do the Hitman need this buff?

      -Investigative Results-

Sheriff: Your Target is not suspicious. (w/o Mafia); Your Target is a member of the Mafia! (w/ Mafia) Okay, fair egnouh

Investigator: Without Mafia: Your target could be a [use random list]. No, use a result that already exists, no RNG

With Mafia: Your target could be an escort, sniper, serial killer, or crusader. Don't make your own results.

Consigliere/Witch: Your target is an elite sharpshooter who’s kills are enjoyable. They must be a Hitman.

Goal: (without Mafia:) Follow your instructions to execute everyone and anyone. Whos instructions?

(with Mafia:) Kill everyone who would oppose to the Mafia. Okay

Wins With: Nobody. Not Survivor, Not Witch, nobody?

Must Kill: Everybody. [too much?] Yes, way too much

Anything Else: This role can be considered an inverted Vigilante-Veteran who opposes everything. This role can be considered a Veteran fused whit a Vigilante but whit a stronger attack and the ability to join the Mafia and the ability to slay Town in 4 nights.

Way too weird and OP. Has some immunities and abilities thta are useless and just nerfs other roles.

    • BONE, I see your points and have fixed some issues. I have mentioned when certain features can be removed if the person(s) reviewing feel so.

Name: Hitman (Sniper when joining Mafia)

Alignment: Neutral Killing (Mafia Killing when joined)

Game Information/Background: In another Town, far far away and more hostile than the insanity of Salem, there lived an assassin for hire, who enjoyed executing his targets. After a huge failure of his latest mission, he ran into hiding. Yet he had a constant impulse... for murder. He began to hallucinate and vision scenarios where he would attack someone he had known, whether it be a random encounter or a close relationship. Soon, however, his delusions became a reality.

Attack: Powerful (when sniping); Basic (on alert)

Defense: None (when sniping); Basic (on alert)

Killing Unique[*] [like the Juggernaut, this role is intended to be secretive and rare] | Priority 4

Abilities: Snipe your “target”, or go on alert at home.

      Attributes:

      - When sniping, you deal a powerful attack to only your target.

      - When on alert, you shoot anyone with a basic attack, and you gain a basic defense. [there can in theory be a message the Godfather can receive, saying “this boi is a sniper” for example]

[failure meaning if they intended to (e.g.) heal you, they won’t (irl the hitman says “no” *bang*)]

      - If the Godfather chooses to attack you whilst you are on alert twice, you will be promoted to a Mafia member as a Sniper (the only way to retrieve this Mafia role). [the reasoning only the immune role can promote is bc the Godfather is the leader of the group in reality (they will kill a mafioso, but the second time around they won’t (too much?))]

      - When promoted to a Mafia member, your investigative results are changed, and you can only snipe, not alert, for as many nights needed [until the game ends].

      - Sniping three players of the same faction (e.g. 3 Townies) will grant you the ability to use Spree, allowing you to deal a basic attack to two people who have not yet been shot in one night (Spree can only be used once). [I nerfed this one a bit, which simultaneously made it more complex and less simplistic]

      - You cannot be blackmailed. If you are blackmailed, the Blackmailer will receive the message “Your Target seems to know you more than you know yourself. You let them be, seeing yourselves as equals.” [this was designed to fit the/a Hitman’s persona/character more accurately; it is a fine feature but is argueably useless, I understand. Remove it from your eyes if you want]

      -Investigative Results-

Sheriff: Your Target is not suspicious. (w/o Mafia); Your Target is a member of the Mafia! (w/ Mafia)

Investigator: Without Mafia: Your target is mysterious and holds no items that can show you any information. || With Mafia: Your target could be a Vigilante, Veteran, Sniper, Pirate, or Ambusher.

Consigliere/Witch: Your target is an elite sharpshooter who’s kills are enjoyable. They must be a Hitman.

Goal: (without Mafia:) Execute everyone on your target list. [this relates to the backstory “mission” bc they’re delusional and can make a list up, which thusly means kill everyone] (with Mafia:) Kill everyone who would oppose to the Mafia.

Wins With: Survivor; Witch; Pirate; Mafia (when joined).

Must Kill: Town; Mafia (when solo); Coven; Arsonist; Serial Killer; Werewolf; Plaguebearer/Pestilence; Vampire; Juggernaut.

Anything Else: This role was originally designed to be a Special role, similar to the Juggernaut in the chance of receiving it. It has the design of an inverted, if you will, vigilante fused with veteran. It has the unique ability to join the Mafia on a rare occasion, and has minor attributes that are designed to fit the persona of the character.

      Color: Pink? Forest green?

      Killing messages:

You were shot by a Sniper!

Someone attempted to snipe you but failed!

(For TP:) Your target refused any protection and swiftly shot you down.

You were shot while visiting your target! (While Alerting)

[*Yes I did screw that one up.]

    • this is a kinda cool role exept for a few things

      1) A NK should never become a mafia member, but he supposedly could be allies with them, much like the witch

      2) A BMer should not recieve a message basically stating they are the Hitman (Sniper), but it could just fail without leaving a message. But, if the Hitman speaks the next day, it would reveal that he was either transported, or he is the Hitman, but it should not blatantly tell the BMer that it is the hitman.

      3) The "Spree" ability is too powerful, honestly it should just be removed.

      4) The TP should still affect him, the Protective role simply dies if he is on alert.

      5) Suggestion: The Hitman should have 2 bullets and 2 alerts. (Bullets are used to snipe and alerts are ... alerts.) Every time an evil role dies(Mafia, Coven, NE, NC, NK), he gets another alert. Every time a town role dies, he gets another bullet. He gets nothing if a NB, such as a survivor, dies.

Overall, cool concept but these changes would make it more balancing.

    • I’m a persistent fellow.

Name: Hitman (Sniper when joining Mafia)

Alignment: Neutral Killing (Mafia Killing when joined)

Game Information/Background: In another Town, far far away and more hostile than the insanity of Salem, there lived an assassin for hire, who enjoyed executing his targets. After a huge failure of his latest mission, he ran into hiding. Yet he had a constant impulse... for murder. He began to hallucinate and vision scenarios where he would attack someone he had known, whether it be a random encounter or a close relationship. Soon, however, his delusions became a reality.

Attack: Powerful (when sniping); Basic (on alert)

Defense: None (when sniping); Basic (on alert)

Killing Unique | Priority 1 [because they have astral? Or should this be 3-5?]

Abilities: Snipe your “target”, or go on alert at home.

      Attributes:

      - When sniping, you deal a powerful attack to only your target, and gain Astral.

      - When on alert, you shoot anyone with a basic attack, and you gain a basic defense.

      - You have two bullets and two alerts — you gain a bullet for every Townie that dies; you as well gain an alert for every Mafia, Coven, or Neutral Killing role that dies.

      - Fighting the Godfather on two alerts will let you join the Mafia, yet you will lose all of your alerts, and you can only snipe every two nights (changing your role to the Sniper instead of Hitman). [I’m going to have to keep this for my own sanity, since this was the original reason I created the Hitman idea.]

      Mechanics:

      - The Hitman can snipe or alert if they have the option.

      - You are immune to Town Protective abilities when on Alert.

      - Your snipes give you the Astral ability.

      - If the Godfather chooses to attack you whilst you are on alert twice, you will be promoted to a Mafia member as a Sniper (the only way to retrieve this Mafia role).

      - When promoted to a Mafia member, your investigative results are changed, and you can only choose to snipe every two nights.

      - You cannot be blackmailed.

|| Your target is a hired assassin, promoted by the Godfather. They must be a Sniper.

Goal: (without Mafia:) Execute everyone on your target list. (with Mafia:) Kill everyone who does not submit to the Mafia.

      Messages:

      (Death:) You were shot!

(Healed:) Someone attempted to snipe you but failed!

(For TP:) Your target refused any protection and swiftly shot you down.

(Alert:) You were shot by the target you visited!

(Blackmail:) Someone attempted to blackmail you, but you threatened them as well.

      - As the Hitman (not Sniper), in the day the death results (e.g. “shot by Vigilante”) Sniping results will show as “shot by a Vigilante”, or “killed by a member of the Mafia”. A similar process occurs when on Alert; “they were killed by a Veteran”, or “they were mauled by a Werewolf”. As a Sniper the message will state that they were killed by a member of the Mafia.
