  • So I haven't really done this before, but lots of people seem to make up roles, so I thought I'd take a shot at it just for fun. I'm honestly not sure if this role is under or overpowered, I suppose that's up to you to decide.

Name: Threatener (Name could be improved upon)

Alignment: Mafia Support (Could be Mafia Killing)

    Attack/Defense: None/None

    Unique Role: No

Priority: 3 (I suppose? Not really sure what the optimal priority would be so I'll go with the same as BMer)

Abilities: Send an anonymous death threat to someone each night, this player will get an extra vote against them the next day.

Attributes: If there are no kill-capable Mafia roles left you will become a Mafioso. You can talk with the other Mafia at night.

    Investigative results:

    Sheriff: Your target is suspicious.

Investigator: Your target could be a SpyBlackmailer, or Jailor./ Your target could be a SpyBlackmailer, Jailor, or Guardian Angel.

Consigliere/Witch: Your target spends their nights threatening others. They must be a Threatener.

Goal: Kill anyone that will not submit to the Mafia.

    Wins with: MafiaSurvivorWitch

    Must kill: TownVampiresArsonistSerial KillerWerewolfCovenPlaguebearerPestilenceJuggernaut

Fair enough, that was a reason I thought it might be a bit broken but I decided to post it anyways to see people's thoughts about it.

    • When you check on the player list and see that John Hathorne has one vote. You scroll up and notice that no one has voted for John Hathorne. WAIT A MINUTE.

Name: Threatener (Name could be improved upon)

Alignment: Mafia Support (Could be Mafia Killing) there shouldn’t be another mk

      Attack/Defense: None/None

      Unique Role: No

Priority: 3 (I suppose? Not really sure what the optimal priority would be so I'll go with the same as BMer) priority doesn’t really matter for most roles.

Abilities: Send an anonymous death threat to someone each night, this player will get an extra vote against them the next day. Ok..

Nice and simple, which is great! What everyone above is saying is that it instantly confirms it exists, but.. of course it does, so does bmer, but there’s no way of finding who it is.

That aside, it may be negative utility, since anyone can claims bmed, no one can claim threatened, so therefore anyone who is threatened is obviously not mafia, so it instantly confirms someone everyday, especially if nk is dead. It’s only other option is to barely ever use it, only for giving mafia an early majority, but it’s useless in helping the mafia get to that point.

So it’s more useless than disguiser in most cases. UP. So my suggestion is to make its targets less confirmable, but even then, it’s ability is only useful in the endgame.

    • Maybe just make it so that they get an extra guilty whilst on stand. Anyone can claim threatened, even if they are not, so it doesn't really confirm town, and the only way to confirm is by putting the person who claimed threatened on stand.
